J, we've talked about this in the past (I think).
Research IMHO, since adult lacks research organizations such as Gallup, you can only hand over the research to someone in the marketing department. Hopefully, someone who really knows the Internet.
If you're talking about actually setting up some sort of agency that sells pre-made research, you might find yourself in a big problem. This industry, especially the online one is too small. People would just pass along your findings unless you can find some way to protect it (DRM or similar?).
A fair success might come from offering custom research for specific stuff provided by the client so that it is not an all-purpose thing. This will also be passed around, but at least it won't be good for just about anyone.
That being said, I think that research is one of the most exciting parts of the Internet and our industry.
