However, I do have to give you credit for your unintentionally correct statement.

I found the article I was looking for. If you thought those Chinese were insidious, you were right! They are actually polluting your cities for you!

Quote:
Only a decade ago did scientists in the University of California's Pacific Rim Aerosol Network help discover that the pollution crossing the Pacific from Asia was worse than suspected, with millions of tons of previously undetected contaminants carried on the wind.

In fact, on any spring or summer day, almost a third of the air high over Los Angeles, San Francisco and other California cities can be traced directly to Asia, researchers said.
I am all for exposing lies that reap political gain for one group or another. But in this case, I have to argue that reducing pollution is a cause we should all be behind. It's easy to bicker over the details, but ignoring the reality that humans are (at the very least) making parts of the world dangerous to live in, killing off animal and plant species, and posing health risks to one another, is simply foolish.

In some European countries, endangering the lives of citizens via corporate pollution is a felony offense. Corporate leaders can be imprisoned. Making the penalties for screwing up our planet more severe is one step in the right direction to stopping all this B.S. spin and having a meaningful debate about protecting the environment.
