I hate to bring you back to reality and i hope you dont take offense to this but..
You have dust mites in your eyebrows right now.. these are living breathing creatures who feel pain and have family. You could live your life trying to "humanely" protect the dust mites in your eyebrows , but you dont. Why ? because it saves you time to ignore them and live your life.. So everytime you wipe your eyebrow , your killing whole families/generations of living creatures all because your satisfying your need to itch your eyebrow.. You could avoid this by never scratching your eyebrow, but you dont.
You have a choice not to kill those dust mites , and i have a choice not to eat meat, we both choose to take the easy route out because it saves time.
So unless "god" has a higher value for some creatures than others, i think at the end of the day the amount of animals we both have killed to save time and money will be rather close.
i just get the satisfaction of eating them.
food for thought anyways.
