Or you could try to run away, as you said, and be a draft dodger. It's come to my understanding that that's not the best label to have to live with for the rest of one's life, but hey, at least you'd be alive right?

As i said above i highly doubt the US goverments would force citizens into battle at gun point.They cant and wont force anyone to go to war.
Do you dispute the goverment lied to the US people about WMD in iraq? Knowing that fact if a drat was put into place you would still go and fight?
If i was drafted to a war that was not on US soil or did not directly threaten The USA ..then there is no way i would go.Brand me whatever name you like,draft dodger,coward,objector..whatever...point is america was founded on standing up for what you belive in and freedom.I see it as my duty to my country to maintain these values...If not am i a realy free?Am i really what an American is suppose to be? ..me thinks not
