So you think that the US went in and invaded Iraq just to save people? Isn't it an interesting choice of country to invade considering there are many others around the globe that have the same problem? Why doesn't the US care about these countries? Where are these WMD's you speak of? Defiance of the UN...why would the US really care? They make unilateral decisions all the time against the UN's wishes including invading Iraq. Further, the American reluctance to pay it's debt to the UN (as of Oct 2006 the US owes $526 Million) shows that as a country the US could care less what the UN thinks or says. So then, as I'm sure you will agree; there were other reason for invading Iraq.
