It's possible that she is hinting...but it's also possible that she's jealous of her friend and trying to see if you're interested because she suspects you may cheat. In which case run! Girls are sneaky like that...I know, I am one! And believe me, it's highly possible and can definitly go both ways.
My advice if it's worth anything at all is to at least take that into consideration.
