JimmyF. I know that you said you knew Pathfinder and I know from his old E-mails that you two frequently exchanged E-mails. I also know that you too are an ex-paratrooper. I do not know when you went through jump-school or where, or what your jump school diploma looked like. Almost all of Pathfinder's things have been stored in private storage but when I was going through some more of his things yesterday I came across a picture of him when he was still in jump school in 1956 and his jump school diploma. I posted the pic and his diploma (maybe you saw them). In case you didn't I erased his name and rank on the diploma and darkened his face so that there would not be any random possibility of him being recognized. Some of the assholes on this board said the picture was faked, some said it was a picture of some soldier but not Pathfinder (of course they do not know what Pathfinder looks like and certainly not what he looked like in 1956). Another said the diploma was faked. All to be expected. Pathfinder went through jump school at Ft. Bragg NC in 1956. The 101'st Aiborne had a jump school at Ft. Campbell then and of course there is still a jump school at Ft. Benning.
If you didn't see the picture and diploma let me know and I will post it again and see if it is the same format for the diploma that you recieved when you graduated from jump school. It may or not be as things in the military change over the years, but if you graduated from jump school within a few years of 1956 the diplomas may have been the same format. If they are you can at least verify the authenticity of the diploma. If you didn't see the pic of Pathfinder I will rescan it and post it without the darkened face. Since you said you knew Pathfinder, possibly you may be able to verify that the pic is that of Pathfinder even though he is very young in the pic and may or may not resemble the Pathfinder you knew. I don't know how old Pathfinder was when you met him, how long you knew him or when it was the last time you saw him, and of course peoples looks change with age.
