The guy with the shark pulled it out of the water for the fisherman that hooked it off the jetty. Some people eat shark just like some people eat racoons and opossum. Most people won't eat it. I think there's something like the sharks urine passes though the flesh that makes it bad for most. The guy who caught it wanted to keep it and he looked like the kind of person that would eat it. The shark was gutted and the entrails were thrown back into the water for other fish to feed on.
As for the shark pups, I watched them throw them into the water. Three were able to swim away and one washed back up on the beach.
