You have to specifically request cogent in order to have your traffic go through it. It's on a totally separate network.
They have more providers in their tier 1 mix than just about anyone else I've seen.

I wanted to test cogent because obviously it's alot cheaper, but based on what I've seen here I'll stick with the good stuff
