If I have to show you the irony in your post I think I've illustrated my point about stupidity.
Hush hush is not starting a thread on a webmaster board and you acting stupid is more than whether or not you released details about your income.
You fail to see that if you treated this a little more like a business than a popularity contest you'd be a lot better off financially.
Do you see any big webmaster posting about what he made yesterday? How about affiliate program owners?
You can quip back with insults like 'suck me dry' or 'blow me sweetheart' but it doesn't change the fact that unless you're talking numbers to JV with someone or to sell your business you're inviting competition and research into your niche.
