Since I shoot a little bit of everything this camera would definitely fill my needs. I'm currently using a 20D and it's my second one after burning up the first one in less than a year. I really need something more sturdy with a longer life. Because of the subjects I shoot, speed is a top priority and this thing is fast.

For sports it's a given you need a fast camera but it can also come in handy when shooting models. For plain old generic porn you could probably get by with one of the higher end " point and shoot " type cameras but if you're looking to get creative and make your pictures stand out, the more tools you have to work with the more creative you can get.

Here are two shots with my 20D. One is the big wreck at last weekends Busch Race and the other is from a past model shoot. For the model shot I wanted to capture her in mid air in full stride. It's a difficult shot to get just right and one that usually needs to be done many times just to get one good one. I had her jump only a few times because it had been a long day and she was beat. The 20D is pretty slow and would only get about three frames per jump and this one was the best. Not the best expression and she's touched ground but it was better than the others. If I had this new Canon I would have had a much better chance in capturing that perfect picture.

You can only do so much with what you have to work with so the more you have the more you can do. It's that simple.
