It's not the same thing. 90% of sexually active people have HPV. There's a new vaccine that's somewhat controversial that will prevent it that they recommend giving to pre-adolscent girls. The bible beaters are making it controversial saying it will make girls sex maniacs (essentially it removes an element of FEAR around sex and that pissed those guys off major big time because religion is based on fear, anyway). Sorry I'm soapboxing, I'm sure there's no religious peeps out there, but in general it's all fear marketing, IMHO.
