they are very VERY secretive about what they are, who they are, what they do... part of their rules/requirements is that no one is allowed to take any kind of medication.. it's in their 'bible'
so what happened years ago was this woman (mason) got very ill.. (i think there are multiple cases), and because she wasn't allowed to take any medication got worse or died.. cant remember the full story,..
there was a huge lawsuit involved.. and court ruled to release a lot of books/information about them for the case.. and thats how most of the info got leaked out about how things are done, their rituals, etc etc
