I guarantee you if I do a repair job you would not be able to tell what I did. I did showcars that at least 5 or 6 are still on the showcar circuit. My dad and I have a 56 Studebaker Golden Hawk sitting in a museum up in New York right now.
Once someone says "I could spot a paint job from a mile away...no matter who does it." They just lost credibility. Ive had the most anal customers in the world examine work I did, or the shops I rans work and couldnt find anything wrong.
And if the paint is not scratched, then alot will buff out, but to me the front leading edge of the fender is surely chipped and scratched through to the metal. Its hard to tell from a photo taken at night though.
