I run my channel on fdfnet.net. I have a java chat client on my site so people who have never heard of IRC can connect

But I attract a pretty tech-savvy audience, so most people come in with IRC clients. It usually has 12-20 people in it and it's not really focused on me, but more on the community as we've grown to know each other over the years. It's a huge part of what holds the community together. But it still gets people who come in with the "show ur titz plz" comments :P

It's definitely the best place for me to run a chat room because of my audience, but I'd think that a less techie crowd would be better with a Flash chat or something.
