Burn a dvd with an aspect ratio of 16:9 rather than just 4:3?

I've been searching everywhere for a week, and the only one i can find is pinnacle's "impression" program, but it's like $2,000....

I also purchased Nero Express Vision, Which fucking sucks! The dvd's won't read in both my bose and mitsubishi dvd players, which are both supposed to play everything.....
