as someone who uses gmail for everything this shits me too, i'll tell them again personally when I drop in the office today ;-)
BUT ...
I've also run enough programs to know why free email addresses are banned at some programs. The bottom line is the program is responsible for the behavior of all affiliates promoting their sites, so they have to do what they can to protect themselves and this is just 1 step that does cull obvious scam accounts, but it also stops legit webmasters from joining.
I'm sure that they will be able to make an exception for you so hit up phoenix, Z or Toyboy ...
