I am not sure that I agree with this. If you buy it as exclusive then why not brand it and if it circulates in the newsgroups so be it. If people like it then they may come to your site for more.
I recently read a post where the person mentioned that members of his site have comment on being able to see all of his stuff in one site instead of a little here and there.
Now, if I could just remember who it was.....
