Believe it or not.. vinegar can help.. a teaspoo or more in a glass of water.. gargle then swallow. Any kind of vinegar will work but of course cider vinegar or a wine vinegar don't taste as off.
Almonds or any kind of nuts..and a couple of teaspoons of honey..mixed up then chew away. The honey soothes.. the nuts reduce inflammation.
Chamomille tea
Run a humidifier in the room where you sleep.
Watered down whiskey or bourbon (warm water)
If you have any turmeric (a spice) in the house, add it to a glass of milk brought to a boil... let it cool a bit and drink it slowly (adding sugar can make it taste better).
