You say let the weed stand in the butter for SEVERAL HOURS? I had heard that you put the weed in the butter, and heat it untill it comes to a slight boil, then take it off the heat, let it sit for 10 minutes, then do this again a few more times to extract the most amount of THC.
Has anyone else heard/tried this method? Is that the best? If not, what is the best way to heat the pot to extract the most amount of THC??

I've always let it stand at a low heat, mixing it up for a few hours. You'll know because the butter will be nice and light green when it's done. You can always try a small amount with both methods see what works best.
