Well, we moved up here a little over a year ago (believe it or not, we closed escrow on our house on 9/11
)....the summers here are fantastic. I'm now about a week into the second real winter of my life and frankly, I could live without it forever. Then again, if you like winter sports then you can't go wrong up here.
There's definitely a small town feel to the area (only about 25k permanent residents), and that's definitely different from the bay area, but it's nice.
Also, unless you're fully self-employed (which fortunately I am), be prepared to make make dogshit wages.
