Never talk to the guys at live chat they are useless monkeys but the suport guys that you have to email are superb. If I ever need help, advice or something fixed they are on it in two seconds and withing 5 minutes I have what I need fixed - anytime of the day!
I've used several hosts and hostgator are the only ones that have gotten it right in terms of service, cost and uptime. I can't be any more happy with them, shame you are having problems - take comfort in the fact it happens to us all
