That line of thinking is something the church hasn't discussed much in the past because they either don't know about such things or they think it will confuse their congregations.

But people like Rob Bell (one of the pastors of a large church in Michigan) are beginning to address that sort of thing, finally. Rob Bell talks a bit about it in his book "Velvet Elvis", which I'd also send you if I thought you'd read it.

You're an open minded person, right? So why not be open to the types of things I'd like you to read? Doesn't mean you have to believe them, just expand your knowledge a bit and take a look at where things are heading in the church world."
