All I'm saying is that throughout history there is always an empire and that empire can do whatever it damn well pleases. That's a historical fact.
In the 21st century America is THE empire. This our time in history and we can damn well do whatever we please. It's time that we in the US just stood up and said as much. Enough with all this diplomatic bullshit and going through the UN. If we need to invade Iraq we should just do it. If we need to use tactical nukes on the battlefield to ensure a quick victory - we should do that too. The 21st Century is the American century and thank God for that. Sure we sometimes act like the 800lb gorilla in the room. But if some other country was in charge, the results would be far worse.
At most, 10,000 or so civies would die in an invasion of Iraq. I am confident we would contain any further causalties. If some other country was handling this invasion, they would probably end up killing hundreds of thousands by not using tactical nukes and instread trying to go in there with conventional arms and house to house fighting.
