Bulldogs and other smash-faced dogs are not so good in hot climates. So if you have summers where the temp gets really high then this dog needs to be air conditioned. No way can they be safe in a hot house all day while you go to work.
These dogs often cannot even make it 1/2 a block during a SoCal summer without panting heavily.
Also, if you get one of these breeds then make sure you are not another broke human who has to give their dog away because you cannot afford surgery on their noses or any of the other problems that tend to arise.
