I believe this is the story they profiled on 20/20 or dateline NBC, where the girls father found out about it, and he didn't like the idea of his (white) daughter performing a slobber job on a (black) guy. Because of her fathers racist views she originally said he forced her, and that got it into the courts eyes. But she later recanted, so they lifted rape charges but still stuck him with the minor rap.
L-Pink makes a good observation, why was the girl not charged? I believe that the consent age is 16 in Georgia, making him to be over consenting age.
Plus, the guy is like a straight A student, had scholarships and everything yanked away.
