Speaking of bill gates, isn't it quite amazing that the richest guy in the world ( i think ) made his entire fortune in his lifetime.
This might be wrong but i bet its the first time in human history the richest man built his entire wealth based on his own actions/money not his/her families money..

Bill Gates grew up rich, not fortune 400 rich, but pretty wealthy. He was educated in the best private schools (his grade school cost almost 3 times as much as harvard). John Rockefeller grew up poor and was worth $200 billion (in today's dollars). Cornelius Vanderbilt, I think, also was the richest man in the world at one time and he also grew up poor.
