I almost gave you a shout except you used a couple of words in your description that warned me away.
That is the first warning. If it is easy, grab a programming manual and hop to it. The description you gave of what you want it to do:
is not the description of a simple mod or a simple script. It is not the most complex of scripts for sure, but it is more than just an hour or two of design and coding to get it all done and in place, tested and made pretty.
If the source code for asql is not available, then the programmer CANNOT modify the script. The reply you got in the forums sounds as if whoever answered thinks the code is available. Doesn't matter anyway.
A programmer is going to have to snoop through the database some, create several dynamic forms, be able to suck the rules from the db and apply them dynamically. If the rules that you dscribe do not yet actually exist in a retrivable form, than a table (or 2) will need to be designed and created to handle the rules aspect of it.
I do not know agsql, but if I did, I would still say you are looking at a minimum of 10 hours or so. Without knowing the program and db, add at least another 5 or so to that. (but you probably don't want to pay for the learning curve either)
At my cheap rate (when I am dunk and in love with everyone) that is a minimum of a $1000 job. At my normal, sober rates I would guess at least around $2500 (and again, that is just a quick guess. based on prior experience I would say it would end up higher than that)
If you wnt to be realistic and say that you don't know a damn thing about what you are asking, you don't know how long it would take and you don't have a clue how to get there from here and you are willing to commit financially to it up front, then I MIGHT be illing to take a look at it for you.
Hope this helps
On this one I noticed the outsourcing guys diidn't even show up. That gives you an idea of how easy other programmers think it will be too.
