You may want to visit a few times before you even think about working there and should get a feel for how it all works, the people and the culture.

And this is not a joke, but I do suggest you take a visit to the Bangkok Hilton (Bangkwan prison) just to see where you may be going if you are caught and can't get out of it. It is hell on earth, and though you would not really go THERE, it does give you an idea of how rough it could get. I make all my male performers who travel with me go and see this place when I first hire them just so they know what they are getting into. That way if they end up there, they can't point any fingers at me.

If you want to actually visit a prisoner, which seems to be the hip thing to do these days, you have to go to the embassy and request permission to see them. And getting off topic, there are some incredible books about people who have been locked up here, well worth a read.
