I think the problem has become the definition of "amateur". It seems lately, it's meant to imply teen...
I always looked at amateur as models that weren't teenyboppers with perky tits and cute faces, but rather women who had their little blemishes and maybe a little flab, had no implants and often did their 'work" from a living room, regular bedroom or kitchen..the set had almost as much to do with it as the model...
if I were to open whhat i called a real amateur site with a model who was maybe late 20's-early 30's, had some flab, breasts sagging a little with a poorly lit set of content shot in someone's living room, most affiliates would talk about "shes too fat" or "what a butter face" or even "eew, lose some weight, get some real lights and a real camera"
Would affiliates even promote a "real" amateur site anymore outside of the established like Homegrown?
