In terms of the link lists/sites - I would aim for each of my little AVS sites to be submitted to thousands of link lists (i could probably dig them out over time by writing a crawler to locate them - and then build the DB up).
Would that be worth doing - even though most generate little traffic - in total it may be a worthwhile excersize?

I think I hear you on the best way being to sell the AVS passes and get the re-bills. The odd sponsor link though may allow me to trawl more sponsor content and add freshly released stuff as it appears. This way I - whilst I take your advice on AVS sales being the primary target - and thus I would give those ads more prime spots - the odd sponsor sale would keep me in contact/good standing with the sponsors whos content I would utilise.
Because I am thinking of semi-mass production - I would need the sponsor content to keep costs to a minimal at first.
Another thought - I would also require that the signing up to AVS sites themselves - during the site submission process - was also allowed by the AVS sites to be automated. The software would choose which AVS a given site were to be sent to for evaluation / listing and then fill out their forms automatically.
I am wondering - again without contacts at the AVS sites - how this automated procedure and also the volume of sites I were submitting would go down with them.
