I save my money. I have a decent car, a decent place to live, a fridge full of food and I don't owe anyone a dime. I couldn't ask for more. I have no house payment, no car payment and therefore very little stress. I'm a Levi jeans, t-shirt and Bud Light kind of guy. That's what I like. I can afford a big house and a BMW but I don't want them. I understand the appeal but it's just not me.

I know several people who make a lot of money but spend it all on things they don't really need (like a big house or a BMW). If they get hurt or sick and missed a few paydays they would be in financial ruins. If I can't work for a year I would still be fine.

Honestly I would like to completely retire at about 50 (another 19 years away), move someplace warm and never work again. That is when all my work will pay off.

Who am I kidding? Some beautiful, high maintenance woman will catch me someday and I will end up with a big house, BMW and 4 kids to put through college. I will never retire and will feel like an idiot for not pissing my money away when I had it.
