I'm throwing in there that this is all evolution. Happened before, and will happen again. Scientists just like to throw shit together to make themselves feel like they're actually doing something useful, but really, no one knows whats going on. All that can be said is our time is about up. Time for another Ice Age and some stronger species to develop.
I feel like I'm in a great time of history. I don't have to worry about the future at all. Either we go to war and kill ourselves; the world freezes over; or we find the cure to all problems through mechanics. Whichever comes, I know I don't have to do shit.
