I took my first job at 12 when I signed up to detassel corn during the summer - a mistake I didn't make the next summer! I also had numerous paper routes and lawn mowing jobs, but I guess I officially started working for a weekly paycheck at a restaurant as a dishwasher/bus boy when I was about 14. During the spring and summer I'd also worked with one of my friends whos father was a roofing contractor. All in all I had my share of tough jobs and I'm thankful I did, it's partly what motivated me to go on to college and earn a Masters... I know what hard manual labor is like.[/QUOTE]
