The point is not the "real odds of a plane crash".
The point is the possible choices I have to make a prediction.
It's not like I had 20 possiblities and I picked the right one which would
be harder than choosing from just 2 possibilites.

The actual odds that the US will win the war in Iraq can be any number but for a pychic to predict the outcome is like win or lose.
If I want to fake like a psychic then I would predict things in a way that there are limited out comes. I don't want to predict you will draw an ace of spades from the deck. I want to predict that you will draw a card from the deck. That's the point of the 50/50. I only had two choices so big deal if I get lucky and I'm right. But if I had 100 possibilities and get it right then it appears to be a more accurate prediction.
