I agree with your sentiment here, BA, yes it is a disgusting thing.
The part I would disagree with you on is the semantics of the theory of evolution. Natural selection does not mean that the "best" or even the strongest or most intelligent survive to pass on their dna, natural selection selects for those who are able pass on their dna (breed) before dying, adapt to the enviornment, and not much more. There's a lot of junk dna that gets passed down, humans are something like 90% junk and bacteria dna. Natural selection is truly the blind watchmaker and you can see the ugly results when looking at the dna from almost any living organism today. It's an ugly, haphazard process and certainly doesn't need any assistance from idiots like the ones in the article you posted!
