United CofC is a liberal as it gets. I personally know some U C of Cers' and 3 out of the 5 I know are either agnostics or atheists. Church and Jesus are out of "service" to their community like feeding the poor and stuff like that. None of them take the Bible literally, and of course the 3 who are freethinkers don't believe in a real Jesus at all, he's just a metaphor for "good deeds."
Obama is a freethinker, through and through. I've heard him defend separation of church and state and it's the kind of talk you hear from freethinkers not like the godidiots we have in office now.
