Dunno, whatever it is, it's never bothered me. I pay my taxes because I like the quality of life I enjoy. I have no stress, can afford great healthcare, now that I'm moving to the lake, I won't even have to deal with idiots anymore, because I won't see to many people, period.
I'd assume it's somewhere between 40% and 50% of my income, after self-employment taxes, etc.
For the $2,500/year my account charges, all of my taxes are prepared, paid out of my account for me, and I'm worry-free. I just sign it and authorize the payment.
