Hey guys, I had gastric bypass done about 14 months ago. I lost 170 pounds.
I used to weigh 320 pounds...but keep in mind Im also only 5'5.
I now weigh about 150 and am able to do things I never thought I would be able to do again. The little things that we all take for granted...
- Tie my shoes.
- Sit on airplanes.
- Park in a tight spot in the parking lot and get out of my car without any trouble.
- Run, jump, excercise...without hurting my knees or back.

This list goes on...
I know its my fault I let it get so bad, but I need to do something to fix it.
The surgery is not the cure to obesity...it's simply a tool to help along the way to a better, healthier life. Right after surgery, I joined a boxing gym and began a regular workout routine as well as better diet. I didnt want the surgery to be my only excuse for losing weight...I didnt want to sell myself short, so even though I had the surgery, I still worked out and ate healthy foods. Now, I am in good shape and I feel great. Im going to have my first amatuer boxing match in about a month. I never thought in a million years I would have that chance.

This surgery is definately not for everyone...and yes, it does have risks, but I was in a bad place and the risks were worth it for me.
