I never understand this argument. You have a choice to work in a place or not. You are not forced to do it, so if you don't like smoke, DON"T WORK IN A PLACE WHERE THERE IS SMOKING. No one was
forced to do anything. It's not a fucking slave camp. You can leave anytime you want. People quit jobs for all sorts of reasons. Should people who work in nightclubs have the music turned down because that is certainly damaging the employee's hearing. I don't like the smell of shit, so I don't work in a sewage treatment plant. Should I go to work there and then ask them to stop processing shit because I don't like it?
It's not some casino's duty to give you a job.
And before someone chimes in with "second hand smoke is a health issue that is affecting others", that argument doesn't hold any weight either. People who have the flu are a health risk to others when they go into a public place. Should they be prohibited from being in public?
And for the record, I'm not a smoker. I avoid smoky places. Because I can.
