The average surfer is going to notice the difference between a 1280x720 at 3800Kbps, and a 640x480 at 1500Kbps. That's the bottomline. If you are shooting hot content, it makes sense to provide the best format availiable. Currently, this is HDV.
Also, the pulled screencaps are great for making galleries.

sorry I dont think hdv is that great and the avg surfer is on old computer with a old monitor and a shit connection. Hot content could be shot on hi 8 and it would sell. Hot is hot, also shit on HD is still shit.
