they will mitigate threats toward them, with 2 requirements, 1) ensure the threat disipitates and 2) minimize damage, lives, impact, etc
but you have no idea what the situation will be like in the future

Israel hates Iran and plans to use its illegal nuclear weapons on Iran for trying to create its own nuclear weapons, It is not Israel's place to enforce this international law of no nukes as it has broken the law by having them. Israel can't justify having nukes there is no getting round the fact Israel has broken the law
