Apples and oranges. Saddam was a ruthless SOB but he wasn't a wild-eyed fundie. He rather liked being alive and IMO he would never have
initiated a nuclear war for that very reason. Unfortunately, George Bush didn't see things quite that way; but that's another whole issue.
