Ok so there is a site called
http://www.metacafe.com that has this thing called the producer rewards program. They will pay you $5 for every 1,000 views your content gets which is pretty cool and it also must mean they make at least $5 per every 1,000 views if they are willing to pay that much back to the producer, right?
Well I uploaded a few videos and got the hang of it. I wanted to save my best content for last. Well I was about to upload some footage of some crazy girl fight when I saw that my content was already on the site, OUCH. Somebody had ripped it from my DVD and put it on their site.
Well my video got 7,869,651 views and if it would not have been illegaly uploaded I would have made $5 for every 1,000 views which is $39,348, that almsot makes me want to cry.
These guys are from Israel so I was not sure if I wanted to take legal action but I found out they also have offices in L.A which I just found out so I might be looking into taking them to court if thats what you guys think I should do.
Thats tons of money they made off of advertising that they would not have made without my content.
Im very upset about this, do you think I would have a chance in court?
