TGP is dead!

Don't be afraid. This is not one of those "the tgp business will be gone in 3 weeks" threads.

Over the past few months I did quite a number of tests with a bunch of tgp sites and other types of sites. What I found out is that there are many alternatives to tgp sites that cost less time, get traffic more easily, draw more bookmarkers and make more money.
For instance, one of the concepts I tested takes about 5 minutes a day, draws *huge* amounts of bookmarkers, and makes about $20 on every 1000 hits. All it requires is some (simple) custom-made software, a design and some time to build up traffic. That's it. (ofcourse, since I am planning to make quite a few sites using this concept, there is no way in hell I'm gonna share it here)

However, considering the outcome of those tests, I think it is pretty safe to say that creating new TGP sites is not the way to go for those that want to make good money in this business. Ofcourse, the big old TGPs will continue to make good money. But for webmasters that want to start new sites it might be a good idea to think outside the box and try to think of other things besides the old TGP concept. The TGP doesn't have the old advantage anymore that it very easily gets bookmarks, and the traffic is just abominable when compared to that of other types of sites.

(sorry about not sharing my ideas, but well... I need them myself. however, if you try some different things yourself chances are that you are going to come up with concepts that will be a lot more profitable than the oversaturated tgp market)
