Merry Chri...no happy hol...no seasons gree...no
I'm sure I'm not the only one but I'm sick and tired of all the Christmas political correctness that goes on. I have friends who work in retail and they're not allowed to wish anyone any form of greeting or goodbye remotely related to the "upcoming holidays".
Apparently non-christians get offended if someone they don't know wishes them a Merry Christmas (I have yet to meet one)
Apparently wishing someone Happy Holidays can lead to problems if you say it to someone currently with suicidal tendancies, manic depressive or had a tramatic experience around this time - "What the fuck do I have to be happy about your pricK?"
So we're left with what? Seasons greetings? What dumbass came up with that...why are we telling a person that winter says hi?
The age of policital correctness must come to an end. If I was to wish someone a Merry Christmas, I'm damn well allowed to. I have yet to meet someone who doesn't celebrate Christmas who gets offended. They know what I meant, I wasn't saying "Conform to my religion you pussy, Jesus is your master". I'm also not being disrespectful to a person by not recognizing their religion...like I fucking know them all, I bet you that same person has no fucking idea what I believe in...at least I had the courtesy to say something nice.
What next? Why don't we NOT wish any asian Happy New Year until February because there's a chance they may only celebrate the Chinese new year (or at least only care about it).
I've spoken my mind to people and have always spoken it based on what I think and feel, not what "society" tells me and it will always be that way.
Your thoughts?
