Not really... I can only sign up for so many usenet and hosting accounts,that would be the affiliates job.. So affiliates get a share for the effort...
I am not saying 'sign up and do nothing', I am saying sign up, give me a little webspace and bandwidth, and access to your usenet account... said hosting and usenet accounts may be closed at some point, in which case, sign up for new ones...
There is a little hassle involved... I have tested this out on a personal level, and the returns were shockingly good... By sharing it out and increasing the span, I can improve it for myself and others can make a nice profit also..
The traffic will all be targetted towards my sites, so I will obviously benifit most, but I will be doing the most work.
Please do not get me wrong, I am NOT saying signup now and you will never need to work again... I am saying share your resources and you will get more back than you put in...
