And y'all aren't gonna care, but for the past two years I have been learning to speak/read/write Russian and here's an interesting bit:

The Russian word for water is "voda" (pronounced "vah-DA")

In Russian when you want to express familiarity and a "fuzzy" feeling with someone you change the ending to "ka" meaning "little". So for example my friend is named Rina and she is called "Rinka"

The word vodka evolved this way and means "Little Water".
