Sorry to hear that....not sure what the law is where you are but in California an insurance company can't raise your rate unless you are 51% at fault for the accident.

A few years ago a drunk driver hit both of my cars in front of my house and did about $10k of damage. Paid the $500 deductible and got them both fixed, had a rental car for 3 weeks, just a headache. Definitely reduce your deductible for next time....but it still sucks no matter what happens.
