this kid at my high school came to school on Martin Luther King day with his face and arms painted black. it was a small town in alaska and there was only one black kid at the school... but wow. parents, teachers and school officials freaked out.
he was a very smart kid and an asshole and everyone knew he was obviously trying to provoke people, but he was very funny about it in that they were trying to explain how innapropriate it was and he kept coming back with remarks like "what? it's innapropriate to honor Dr Martin Luther king at this school? whos racist policy is that" - it was comical watching them try to decide what to do about it... because it was lose/lose for them.
